Color Explained

Colorless (D-F): Colorless Diamonds are vividly white and in the D/E range these diamonds display virtually no color. F colored diamonds are only very slightly less white. Colorless diamonds are very beautiful and recommended.
Near Colorless (G-J): Diamonds within the near colorless range appear vary considerably. Color G is very white and represents excellent value. When the color is H to J there will be noticeable to very noticeable yellow colors. G colored diamonds are recommended as excellent value.

Fluorescence Explained

Fluorescence describes colors within the diamond that are not white. Fluorescence is most often blue. Fluorescence is graded from None to Very Strong. The best fluorescence level to select depends on the diamond color that you chose.
With colorless diamonds it is best to have no fluorescence as these diamonds are very white. It is recommended that you select fluorescence of None or Slight.
For diamonds that are near-colorless a fluorescence grade of medium or strong blue is best because the blue offsets, to a limited degree, the yellow in the diamond.
Diamonds with very strong fluorescence can give the diamond a slight hazy or oily appearance and should be avoided.
