Oval Rub Over Ring

An Oval cut engagement ring incorporating a rub over setting for the central oval cut diamond. Jewellery design through the various era’s offers inspiration for this ring designed by Guthrie’s – circa 1990.

The design has the addition of two tapered baguette diamonds aside. The baguettes are set with slightly rounded bar either end of the stones, as a design feature and for protection to the diamonds. The setting narrows where it meets the 18 ct. yellow gold band with a soft profile,  which gives an elegant proportion to the ring.

The ring not only provides an attractive design but also gives the stones a very durable and well wearing setting.
